Child benefits from the CAF
Nationality does not matter: you must live in France with your children and stay legally.
What to do
- The list of documents includes an APS of more than 3 months and a renewal récépissé. A first-request récépissé is not named: ask your CAF.
- From two children under 20: allocations familiales, up to 152.25 € for two and 347.32 € for three a month (2026).
- The back-to-school allowance (ARS) for each child aged 6 to 18, paid from 18 August, under an income ceiling.
- No benefit can be requested without a caf.fr account. If your document does not allow work, the CAF asks for proof that the children entered regularly.
